Laser Vein Treatment
Laser Vein Treatment is typically used for the treatment of spider veins- those pesky clusters of purple, red and blue veins that can be found on your legs, feet and elsewhere on your body. Used in conjunction with sclerotherapy, laser vein treatment involves directing a light beam on the veins to seal them off and successfully dissolve them. The wavelength of the laser is targeted to the pigment in the blood, so it will not damage any surrounding tissue.
The vein treatment procedure lasts around 20 minutes, and is performed right in the office. It typically takes between four and six weeks for the veins to completely disappear following the treatment. Depending on the size and number of veins in the treatment area, it may take between two and 6 sessions to achieve optimal results.
